At 7.30 A.M. of 13th September, at the Lecture Hall in the east campus of Anqing Foreign Language School, Director Cao Siqing, in charge of Grade 10, held a lecture entitled ‘Running on the Road to College Entrance Examination’ for new students in Grade 10. The lecture focused on learning method guidance. Attendees included all students from Grade 10 as well as head teachers.
First of all, Director Cao Siqing talked about studying attitude in a straightaway and humorous manner. He mentioned that we should learn diligently as human beings. The essence of learning strategies is to follow teachers’ instructions. Director Cao Siqing presented some cases in simple yet profound terms, which enabled students to draw conclusions that they were supposed to step forward and advance instead of comparing themselves with underachievers. After all, study is like a boat sailing against the current.
Second of all, Director Cao Siqing addressed puzzles bewildering parents and students. He pertinently analyzed the differences among textbooks in junior and senior high schools, psychological characteristics of junior and senior high students in addition to learning methods in junior and senior high teaching. More noticeably, he laid special emphasis on the cultivation of effective study methods and habits.
Overall, the seminar concluded in a satisfactory way with students’ warm applause.
